Our Story

Klint and Sarah have long held aspirations to homestead, micro-farm, and live more self-sufficient lives. This desire was coupled with the want to provide for their family without heavy reliance on the traditional industrial food complex we know today. Taking a leap of faith, they invested in a small home with 1.5 acres of land at the end of a mountain road. The first thing they noticed were the sweet wild bunnies that seemed to not be afraid of people. The second thing was how much potential the little piece of land had for a homestead. Since then, they have started a modest eggery and apiary. They have begun some raised bed gardening, container gardening, and some traditional in-ground gardening to feed their growing family, as well as, their neighbors and friends. The goal is to develop a thriving community through neighborly love and good food.

Our homestead is located In Beautiful harpers ferry, west Virginia. We Emphasize sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.

The methodologies we employ are influenced by Joel Salatin, Justin Rhodes, and Will Allen. We encourage others to “farm” in a sustainable and earth loving way. Produce is only as good as your soil. Using various composting techniques and animal rotation we infuse our ground with love. All of this to provide ourselves and our community nutrient dense fruits and vegetables.
