We have Bees!

We have gotten our Premier One electric fence up and our two nucs. Now let’s see if we can keep these bees alive and happy!

Like everything, we should expect to be able to harvest a small batch of honey in about two years.

This year we need to…

1) Get our hives established

2) Protect them from mites, moths, and other pests/predators

3) Help our bees to overwinter

You can tell we are new to the world of bees because we have every piece of protective equipment on! One day that may change, but until it does, we will be dawning the whole garb to tend to these insects.
