Growing hives and preparing for honey harvest
Our regular hive inspections have led to ever increasing hives and thriving bees. We are happy to see that the bees are drawing out comb into the new deep frames and our queens are laying as they should. No revolts to be seen so far!
The worker bees are also working hard at capping their honey in the supers. This means that we should be able to harvest some honey in the next week or so. We have decided to use a manual extractor and the hive butler uncapping tank and storage covers to make the process go smoothly. Of course this is all theoretical until we actually are able to get it done.
