Celebrating 10 years

It was a little over ten years ago when Klint and I decided to press in to one another and answer the call we felt tugging on our hearts. The Lord had led us down the same path in life and we felt the need to be married to one another. Fast forward through three kids, six homes and subsequent moves, as well as the start of a homestead and we are now celebrating ten wonderfully fruitful years of marriage.

Many people would probably say that we were silly or romantics, or even silly romantics for wanting to celebrate our ten years of marriage with a vow renewal. But, we felt it would be a fun way to gather with friends and family. We tend to want to celebrate most any occasion and look for fellowship opportunities all the time. So, of course, a vow renewal celebration was almost a necessity.

We are so very grateful and truly blessed by all our wonderful family and friends that came out to celebrate with us. We are especially thankful for our friends who stepped up to help plan, prep, set up, and tear down the event. Their self sacrifice will forever be ingrained in our hearts and minds.

One of the coolest things about the day was that we were able to use a lot of local vendors to outfit the celebration. We used Small Venture Flower Farm for the floral arrangements and bouquets, Joan and Joe’s Coffee, the Cottage Kitchen Bakery for the cake and cupcakes, my amazing friend Julia Gray for the charcuterie table which was gorgeous, Tip Toe Studios for the photography, and El Pollon (a franchise I know, but a super small local one) for the delicious food!

To wrap things up, we had a blast celebrating with everyone and look forward to celebrating many more years of marriage. We hope that this day will be remembered by our children as a special day when they got to celebrate their parents love and devotion to God and to one another.
