The cat is out

A couple of months ago we started the process of acclimating a feral cat to our homestead. With high hopes, we have spent the past eight weeks feeding him and building trust so that he would choose to work on our homestead. By work, we mean being a good mouser. He has shown promise while in his stall. He left a spleen in his litter box for us to see which validated his presence. Fast forward to now, and he has been let out of the barn and allowed to go about the property. Hopefully, the will not run away, or just be a freeloader. Only time will tell though.
